One of my favorite parts of going on vacation is having an excuse to buy an entirely new wardrobe. Who’s with me?!
For my trip to Martha’s Vineyard last week, I knew it would be hot, that we would be walking around a lot, and would probably go to the beach once or twice so I needed a good mixture of summery pieces for the hot days, basics I could layer, and casual pieces for lounging at night and getting coffee in the mornings. We were only on the vineyard for 4 days, 5 nights but I obviously overpacked, especially since we weren’t flying and had a car on the island.
What to Pack for Martha’s Vineyard
Dresses & Jumpsuits
Even if it doesn’t feel like it right now, it’s still summer and for the first few days we were in the vineyard, it was toasty. Dresses and jumpsuits are not only a great way to stay cool but are easy to throw on and still look chic. Madewell has a bunch of really cute options right now but if you have a larger budget, you can never go wrong with Reformation!
Whether we were running errands, grabbing a coffee, heading to the local brewery, or exploring Edgartown, easy basics were my go-to! I tried to keep things pretty neutral to make it easier to mix and match each piece, although I did find myself grabbing these jeans and this top the most.
Shoes & Accessories
I really went wild on the shoe front and ended up wearing these black slides, these sandals, and this pair of block heels a majority of the time. I kept my accessories very basic since we were busy with activities and changing out of sweaty clothes into something new before going on to the next activity. This clear tote from Amazon ($15!!) was also hands down the best bag for this trip – It goes with everything and the size is perfect!
