The temperatures are starting to get warmer and the days are getting longer, which can only mean one thing. Spring is almost here! As one of my favorite seasons of the year, I cannot wait for the city to start looking and feeling alive after a long, cold winter. If you’re as excited as I am for the season ahead, that also means you’re excited about all of the opportunities to explore and socialize. After being for what feels like the last year (okay, four months, but who’s counting?), I’m also excited to start enjoying the patios at our favorite restaurants for date night.
As I start to switch over my wardrobe and take stock of what I am hoping to purchase this season, I’m also thinking about spring date night outfits! If you’re in the same boat, I hope these outfit ideas help make getting ready for your upcoming date night just a little easier, especially as you transition your wardrobe for the season ahead.
Spring Date Night Outfit Ideas
Patterned Blouse and High-Waisted Jeans
I am a denim girl through and through so once it starts getting warmer out, I love pairing my favorite pair of mom jeans with a cute top. Since the weather is nice out, opting for a fun pattern top instead of solid colors will draw the eye. If this is your go-to date night outfit, elevate your jeans with a great pair of shoes and a fun clutch!
In the spring months, I love taking advantage of the warmer weather and patio season which usually means more casual spots. This outfit is perfect for that!
Mini Dress Styled with a Denim Jacket and Sandals
You can never go wrong with a simple LBD for date night and this one is so good. It not only is the perfect length, but it also has pockets and it’s easy to style up or down. If you’re going out on a first date and want to look put together but still comfortable, this is your best bet! And always, always, always bring a third layer to not only tie the outfit together but also provide you warmth on those cool spring nights.
Midi Dress and Lace-Up Sandals
On the nights that it’s warmer out and wanted to look elevated but still casual, a midi dress is going to be your best friend. They’re easy, they’re chic, and you can pretty much get away with going to dinner anywhere in one. With the length of a midi dress, I always love pairing my lace-up sandals with it. While standing, they look like normal sandals but once you’re sitting, you see that extra detailing. So fun!
Midi dresses also give a good opportunity to pull out some of your more elevated spring shoes like a platform sandal!
Fitted Tank Styled with Jeans and Heeled Sandals
A fitted tank is a wardrobe essential. They’re so easy to style with a plethora of bottoms and are even better for date night. When it comes to styling a fitted tank for date night, always opt for neutral colors and pair it with elevated pieces, like these heeled sandals. It’s a simple outfit that packs a punch!
Bodysuit, Jeans, and a Simple Pair of Pumps
If you’re looking for a simple but sexy date night outfit, pull out your pumps, favorite bodysuit, and a pair of jeans and you’re good to go! One of my favorite ways to wear this outfit for date night is by keeping it monochrome. The all-black draws in the eye and is a fun way to dress up jeans. It also feels like you put in more effort, which always makes me feel good about myself.
This bodysuit is from Free People and is truly the best! Super comfortable and the faux wrap top can be adjusted to show as much skin as you want.
