Ahhh, skincare.  If there is one thing I could tell teenage Rachel it would be to figure out a skincare routine that works for you and stick to it. I don’t care how tired you are, stick to that routine.

If only, am I right?

In all seriousness though, having a skincare routine that you stick to day and night, whether you’re exhausted or sick, will help you achieve blemish-free, hydrated skin. So what does my skincare routine look like? If you remember, I recently shared my honest thoughts on TULA and mentioned that even though I love their products, they aren’t the only products I use. It did take some time, but I finally have found the products that work well together for my skin type and I haven’t looked back since.

Step 1: Cleanse

Purifying Cleanser

Giving you a through, non-stripping clean, this purifying cleanser promotes a clearer, brighter complexion, is rich in antioxidants, and thoroughly removes makeup.

Step 2: Tone

Witch Hazel Toner

I love that the Thayers Witch Hazel Toner can be purchased at Target and is only $10. It’s such a great product, is cruelty-free, and doesn’t have any Phthalates or Parabens, either!

Step 3: Treatment

Acne Clearing & Tone Correcting Gel

This acne clearing gel is my holy grail treatment product. The Salicylic acid fights and prevents acne, willowherb helps hydrate and soothe the skin, and azelaic acid helps brighten spots left behind from past blemishes.

Acne Spot Treatment

I’ve now been using this acne spot treatment on and off for a few months and man oh man, it is AMAZING! At the first signs of a breakout, the treatment will clear my skin completely in 2-3 days (max!). CAN I GET AN AMEN!? 🙏🏻 It can also be applied 2-3 times a day!

Step 4: Moisturizer

I-Waken Eye Serum

I have to admit, I never used eye serums or moisturizers until a few months ago 😬 I tried this guy at Follain one day and loved it so much I went back after work to make it mine. I now use this serum in the morning and love that it instantly makes me look more awake.

Protini™ Polypeptide Moisturizer

Combining signal peptides, growth factors, amino acids, and pygmy waterlily, this Drunk Elephant moisturizer helps improve your skin’s tones, texture, and firmness while moisturizing the skin. I’ve only been using it for a few weeks and love it!

Step 5: SPF

100% Mineral Matte Sunscreen

Supergoop! has the best everyday sunscreens. They work really well to protect against harmful UV rays without being bulky and leaving your skin looking gross. I prefer to use this matte sunscreen to help avoid a shiny face halfway through the day. It also has a little tint in it, so I feel like I have something on my face on the days I’m going makeup-free.

Step 6: Primer

Perfect Canvas Primer

I was sent this primer by REN and I am obsessed! I even stopped using my beloved IT Cosmetics primer. The smell is divine, it’s a clean product, and my makeup looks untouched after a long day at work which is a miracle in itself. I use 2-3 drops for my entire face.

Love this post! I use the Tula Purifying Cleanser every single day and it has worked wonders for my skin. It doesn’t dry out my face, which is something I have a problem with with other cleansers. Great product! Xx.

I’m always fascinated by others’ skincare routines. I’m so picky with mine, that when I find a handful of products that I love, I don’t change them for ages. But I know it’s good to branch out, because I may discover another holy grail item that I never would have otherwise. I gotta try that toner and the acne spot treatment!
