Off Duty

casual weekend outfit

Well, here we are friends – another year coming to a close. As each year passes, I’m always so amazed by how quickly the year has gone by and the holidays have come around. I guess that’s just part of getting older – time going by faster and faster.

While it goes without saying that this year has been one for the books, I’m feeling a little sad about 2020 coming to a close. It certainly wasn’t a year anyone was expecting and a lot of the things we wanted to do have been put on hold for the foreseeable future. And it breaks my heart that we’re almost a year into this pandemic and people are still sick, still dying, and people still aren’t wearing their masks and being safe.

I’ve learned a lot this year. I’ve slowed down. I’ve taken chances. I’ve done things that make me happy. I’ve enjoyed uninterrupted time with my loved ones.

Although I’m not necessarily taking time off over the next few weeks, I am planning on shorter work days so I can spend some extra time with Chris and Finn (not that we don’t already spend enough time together 😂 ) and I can’t wait!

And finally, I want to say thank YOU for being my cheerleaders and supporting me throughout the year (and always!). This holiday season might look different but I’m wishing you happy holidays filled with joy, laughter, and love. I can’t wait to see what 2021 has in store for you!
