Noelle Nashville Review

At the end of February, I headed down to Nashville with one of my close friends (Hi Paige!) and we had an absolute blast! I had only been once before and it was a quick stop, so it was nice to spend a few days in the city to adventure around and eat some delicious food. Between hotels and Airbnbs, we had so many options for places to stay but in the end, we stayed at Noelle. With a rich history and gorgeous decor, I’m itching to get back down to Nashville just so I can stay in the hotel again!

Overall Experience

Noelle is conveniently tucked into the downtown area of Nashville, making it just a short walk to Broadway (two blocks to be specific!), museums, and delicious food. Just a short drive from the airport, getting to Noelle was very easy and each corner of the property had something new to discover. With friendly staff around every corner, Noelle isn’t just a hotel, it’s an experience.

Noelle Nashville Common Space

Located on the corner of 4th and Church, Noelle was originally opened it’s doors as Noel Place in 1930 during a time of growth in downtown Nashville. Located among the busiest area of the downtown area, Noel Place brought people from near and far into the city to experience the things that made Nashville great, including Printer’s Alley, Broadway, and Harvey’s Department Store.

Fast forward 85 years and the hotel has been fully restored and reimagined. Opening its doors as Noelle, a homage to the original Noel Place, in late-fall 2017. Together the creatives, collabortive minds, and staff have created a magical place with detail and history around every corner.

Common Spaces

One of my favorite parts about staying at Noelle were all of the gorgeous common spaces and areas of the hotel to explore. Although the hotel does not have a pool or spa (*cries*) there is plenty to explore throughout the hotel, including a super fun and intimate speakeasy, delicious restaurant (you have to try the cheese board!), coffee shop, and a small shop in the lobby of the hotel.

With several couches and various seating options for enjoying your morning coffee or catching up on work, the Noelle offers the ideal environment for those visiting for work or play.

In addition to the restaurant and speakeasy located within the hotel, the curators of the hotel really took the time to encorporate the history of the property into the design by utilizing an archive room and lining the hallways and rooms with letterpress prints for hotel guests to enjoy.

The Keep Shop in the lobby features clothing, accessories, small gifts, and homegoods made by local artisans. If you’re looking for a keepsake to remember your trip or a small gift for a loved one that isn’t your typical “cheesey” souvenier (which I love BTW), I promise you the Keep Shop will have just the thing!

Another fun perk were the hydration stations that were on each floor of the hotel. As someone who drinks a lot of water, especially when traveling, having cold, room temperature, and sparking lot on tap was so convenient! Each station also included to-go cups and glass water bottles for convenience, too.

The Room

Each room at the Noelle has diferrent features, but they all are cozy and have impeccable decor. Our room overlooked Printer’s Alley and featured amazing views of Nissan Stadium. The dark navy walls made the room feel extra warm and inviting and the blackout curtains made getting out of bed difficult. At Noelle, you can tell that a lot of thought went into designing each space, including the ease of functionality. Each room features a hidden away (next to the bed!) closet with complimentary 10-minute coffee, two mugs, and a bottle opener. The handwoven robes and stunning hickory floors make the room make you feel more at home compared to your typical hotel room.

My favorite part of the room you ask? The bathroom. The gorgeous marble shower, brushes brass detailing, and mid-century modern style mirror made my heart flutter. Weird? Oh well. Another one of my favorite complimentary features were the Red Flower products – they smelt so good!

going to Nashville this Sept. Was it noisy at all? Read mixed reviews…I know these smaller hotels have smaller rooms as well. Which is ok. Comparing this to the Hutton….

The room was on the smaller size, but we weren’t in it much – too much to see! The hotel itself is very quiet, but we did get some jazz music up from the alley (didn’t go too late!).
