After seeing everyone and their mother on Instagram using TULA, I figured it was finally time to give it a try for myself to see if it was really as good as everyone said it was. That was a year ago.
Since I first gave the cleanser a try last November, I’ve slowly been expanding my horizons with the skincare line and so far I’ve tried the following products:
- Purifying cleanser
- Acne clearing & tone correcting gel
- Exfoliating treatment mask
- Glow & get it brightening eye balm (the original and rose)
- Revitalizing eye cream
I’ve struggled with acne for years. On my face, on my back, on my shoulders, on my chest. It’s something that I’ve always been extremely self-conscious of. I went on birth control, I gave oral and topical acne medications a try, I switched up my skincare routine. Oral prescription medications made me feel sick and the one time I gave a few different topicals a try, the most recent one (about 3 years ago) made my face so dry and peel like a snake (yes, even my eyelids were peeling) and it hurt so bad. When it hurts to cry, there’s a problem. After being in the worst pain in my life, I stopped using it.
Long story short: I never stayed on prescription medications long enough to see the results.
I decided that I would rather cut certain foods out of my diet, change my lifestyle, and find a skincare routine that actually works for me (even if it cost me a lot of $$) rather than take prescription medication.
As I mentioned before, it’s been about a year since I gave TULA a try for the first time and since then, I’ve tried several products from their skincare line. But are they actually as good as everyone says?
My Honest Thoughts on TULA
While I’ve only tried six TULA products thus far, I am completely hooked. The hype on Instagram about these products might be annoying, but they are totally worth it. And as someone who has been struggling with acne for several years, it’s so nice to be able to utilize the same products as my friends and family members and get the same results as products that specifically target acne.
And even though TULA’s products are more affordable than others, I do understand that they still might be more expensive than the price range some people are comfortable with. But, they are the real deal so if you’re curious, I say go for it! They are 100% worth it but remember that you don’t need to use them all. Start with what you need and branch out from there.
