I am such a sucker for a delicious glass of white wine, whether it’s paired with dinner, enjoyed after a long day at work, or a reward for cleaning on the weekends. I do love rosé once the summer months roll around and a glass of red wine from time to time, but white wine runs through my blood so I wanted to share some of my favorites with you and hope you’ll discover a new favorite!
My Favorite White Wines
Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc – This classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is a pale yellow with aromas of citrus, tropic fruit, and fresh herbs. The ripe tropical flavors (passion fruit, melon, grapefruit) and crispness pair perfectly with summer salads, shellfish, and asparagus.
Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc – This zesty sauvignon blanc features passion fruit, citrus, and gooseberry notes and is medium to full-bodied with a creamy feel.
Bruni Plinio Vermentino– Flowery and fruity with notes of exotic fruits, this Vermentino has a fresh yet dry flavor and pairs well with seafood.
Argiolas Costamolino Vermentino – Dry, crisp, and refreshing, this Vermentino has almond, citrus, and tropical flavors.
Field Theory Albariño – Crisp with a great texture, this albariño has notes of apricot, coriander, and mango. It’s also a nice mix between a sauvignon blanc and chardonnay but has bright flavors and is a dry wine.
Più Gioia Pinot Grigio – With notes of grapefruit and white beach, this dry, crisp Italian pinot grigio is the perfect beverage for the summer months! It pairs well with fish, cured meats, and fruits and has a light body.
MOMO Sauvignon Blanc – A new-to-me option, MOMO Sauvignon Blanc is quickly becoming an all-time favorite! It has aromas of tropical fruit, herbaceous notes, and has a hint of citrus. It’s rich with a wonderful texture but finishes fresh and crisp.
90+ Cellars Lot 2 Sauvignon Blanc – For under $12, this is hands-down one of my most drank wines! With notes of bright citrus, lemon zest, and grapefruit, the crisp and clean flavor pair well cheese, seafood, and green vegetables.
