My All-Time Favorite Face Masks

the best face masks

I have always been a lover of face masks, far before I even knew what a skincare routine was. Not only is it one of my favorite ways to get my skin looking and feeling it’s best but it’s also one of my favorite ways to “treat” myself to a relaxing evening! Finding a face mask that works for your skin concerns can take some time, but once you find one (or ones!) that works for your skin concerns, your skincare routine will be completely changed.

If you’re struggling to find a mask that works for you (and doesn’t break you out!) and are tired of spending money trying this mask and that mask, I feel you. I’ve been there, and it’s frustrating. To make things easier, I’m rounding up my all-time favorite masks that I’ve been using for years to make things a little easier.

Benefits of Masking

Masking is such an important step in your skincare routine and when you use the right ones, they will totally change the way your skin looks and feels, and will change the way you feel about your skin. Face masks have the ability to target different problems that your skin is facing and since they’re occlusive, they can give your skin an instant boost. Whether you’re looking to target dry skin and uneven texture, or fine lines/wrinkles and even acne, there’s a face mask out there that will help!

Ideally, you should have 2-3 different masks (a clarifying, a moisturizing, and an exfoliating) in your rotation that target the different skincare concerns you have, and you should be using them consistently (each mask should be used once a week!).

My Favorite Masks

Claudalíe Instant Detox Mask – If you haven’t tried this mask yet, you’re seriously missing out! This detox mask is my go-to when I’m breaking out, or feel a breakout coming on. It acts like a vacuum and pulls out all of the gunk out of your pores, helps reduce excess oil, and helps to fight off future breakouts. I typically use this one 1-2 times per week since I do have acne prone skin and I always feel so fresh afterwards!

Tula Exfoliating Treatment Mask – I first tried Tula a few years ago and instantly fell in love. Each of their products is super gentle, they’re at a good price point, and actually work. Although I have incorporated some other skincare products into my routine, the Tula exfoliating mask continues to be one of the products that’s always in my rotation. This detoxing clay mask helps pull impurities from the skin, and the volcanic sand and rice extract helps exfoliate, smooth, and protect the skin. I usually rotate between this one and the Claudalíe mask!

Kiehl’s Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Mask – I’m alllll for a mask that helps brighten my skin and this one is amazing. Made from turmeric and cranberry seeds, this mask is filled with antioxidants that help reduce redness of the skin, as well as exfoliates, and leaves the skin looking smooth and feeling soft. Think of it as coffee for your skin! Extra energizing. Dullness and uneven texture are two things I struggle with so I like to use this once a week.

Patchology FlashPatch Rejuvenating Eye Gels – I’m going to cheat a little bit here, but since these still considered a mask, I’m including them. I love a good eye mask and these ones from Patchology are SO good! They’re quick, they’re refreshing, and they’ll bring your eyes back to life – especially after a long week. One of the main ingredients in these eye gels is caffeine, which helps for brighter tone and reduced puffiness.
