It’s been almost three months since Chris and I moved in together and decorating our space has taken much longer than I was hoping. I know everyone always says it takes time to make a house a home but my middle name is impatient and I’m over how long it’s taken.
The good news? Our living room is almost complete! While we wait on a few pieces to come in the mail, I figured it was the perfect time to start working on the master bedroom (also the only bedroom in our apartment 😂).
I originally wanted to paint the entire apartment white because I’m a psycho, but at the last minute had a change of heart and decided I wanted to paint the bedroom a dark moody color. After teaming up with Clare to paint our living room and having the best painting experience ever, we decided to take a peek at their colors to see if there was something we liked. We ended up deciding on Current Mood and guys – I cannot wait to see how it comes out!
For contrast against the dark walls, we’re going to incorporate white, brass, and other light-colored decor throughout the space.
The best part, right? Dear Pinterest, I love you.
I can picture what I want the space to feel like in my mind so I took to Pinterest to bring my ideas to life but nothing was quite what I was looking for. After pinning a handful of images I realized exactly what my inspo was – the Noelle hotel in Nashville. After staying at Noelle on a trip to Nashville in March 2019, I was dreaming of the hotel and wishing my home could look like it! If you want to see the entire review of our stay, check it out here.
