Quarantine Day 70: How Are You Doing?

This post might contain affiliate links.

When we moved into our apartment, the old tenants left a chalkboard/shelving unit hanging in the kitchen and on the day we found out we’d be working from home due to coronavirus, Chris wrote on it “Social Distancing Day 0.” Ever since then, we’ve been updating the number each morning, you know, to remind us of the amount of time we’ve spent indoors.

All jokes aside, I secretly (ok, now it’s not so secret) look forward to updating the number each day. Some days I just update the number, other days I update the number and take a photo or two of something that we’re doing.

Now that we’re a little over two months into quarantine and working from home, I’m finally in a groove with working from home. When I update the number each morning, I’m amazed at how long it’s been. It feels like it’s been years but at the same time, it feels like we just started this new “normal” within the last week or two. It’s just so crazy. I’m also impressed with how well Chris and I have handled the change in our tiny home (don’t worry, there’s been lots of fights 😉). Adding the dog into the mix has also been fun and has shaken things up with our daily routine, which we’ve welcomed with open arms.

We’re doing okay. I’m doing okay.

I have my days that I’m an anxious mess, sad that we have to stay inside and can’t spend time with friends and family. I have my days that I’m productive AF, tackling every project I put on my to-do list. I’m ready to start seeing businesses re-open and their owners and employees be able to support their families. I’m excited to hug EVERYONE.

I’m extremely thankful that we have a roof over our heads and that we’re both still working (even if it’s from home).

I’m so happy for this downtime to recharge, have extra time to read, and honestly, we’ve never spent more time FaceTiming with our friends and family in our lives. Dare I say, it’s been nice?? (I said it.)

While this has been quite the experience, those are the things I’ll be taking with me as we start to reopen and return back to a sense of normalcy. Read more, FaceTime more, send more snail mail, take the time to recharge.

How are you doing?

This is such an honest post… I love it. I’m feeling a lot better now that we are in a groove. The first 3 weeks of quarantine were the hardest since there were so many unknowns.

I feel the same way as you in that on the hand it feels like it;s been ages but on the other hand I’m amazed how long it’s been. it’s definitely become ‘normal’ working in this new routine.

Girl I feel you. I have days where I’m so productive and then have days where I lay in bed all day and watch Netflix. Just taking it one day at a time!

We’re out of quarantine at this point, but we’ve got a new normal. At the gym, stores, etc.

It’s weird but just glad we can get back to normal activities!

Honestly at first not too much had changed since I was already working from home. Bummed about canceled travel plans mostly….making the best of it otherwise! xoxo, Sarah

It’s definitely been a whirlwind! Some days are great and others have their low points! Now that I have more of a groove I’m doing ok! Things are slowly opening up here in NC which makes me extremely nervous!

I can’t believe it’s been more than two months since we’ve been quarantined… it’s unreal! However, I’ve been doing pretty well working from home, getting caught up on things around the house, I’ve gotten into selling on Poshmark and have been able to devote more time to my blog. Glad you’re doing well!

Wow! It’s hard to believe we are on day 70, and beyond. I don’t think any of us knew what we were in for when this all started. Stay well hun!

It’s crazy! I wasn’t sure how long we’d be home for and it’s been going better than I was expecting, but I’m looking forward to experiencing our new “normal.”

Love the idea of the chalkboard. It’s such a tough time, but I feel like I’ve adapted to the ‘new normal’ as much as I can. Fingers crossed it won’t be for too long xo

100% agree – we have never spent so much time calling, face timing, and just connecting with our families – that has been a blessing as well. I also thought I would HATE joshua working from home but secretly I have loved it. I am sad he is back in the office most days now.

Overall, I’ve been embracing quarantine. I took the time to do things that I was always to busy to do! Plus, now that the weather is nicer, it’s for sure getting easier haha.
