The Best Holiday Movies to Watch on Netflix

My favorite part of the holiday season you ask? Watching all of the holiday movies, of course. Netflix has really stepped up their holiday movie game and since I’ve already watched *all* the movies for you, you don’t need to waste your time endlessly scrolling through Netflix and watching countless trailers just to figure out what you’re going to watch with bae. Throw some popcorn in the microwave, grab your debit card (to pay for Netflix if you don’t already have it, duh), and get cozy so you can binge these bad boys.

Must Watch Holiday Movies

1. The Princess Switch

Where are all my Vanessa Hudgens fans out? When Stacy De Novo bumps into Lady Margaret Delacourt while preparing for the Royal Christmas Baking Content in Belgravia, the two realize how similar they look and naturally decide to switch places. A fun twist on The Parent Trap (without the whole making our parents fall in love thing), the two women learn a lot about themselves while falling for each other’s bae. I obviously squealed at the end and wished it went on forever.

2. Love Actually

Okay, so it’s not really a holiday movie per se, but it is based around Christmas time so that makes it a holiday movie in my book. Based in London during the holiday season, several (very different but interrelated) couples are dealing with their love lives and showcases the individual stories. In my opinion, it’s like getting nine sappy movies all in one. Love Actually is just one of those movies that makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside that should be watched at least once a year, so why not watch it during the holidays??? Huge Grant is also very dreamy.

3. A Christmas Prince

One of my favorite movies of 2017 is back! Young journalist, Amber Moore, is sent to the foreign land of Aldovia to get the inside scoop on Prince Richard before he takes the throne as king. After a close call and a (small) lie, Amber finds herself working as the tutor for Prince Richard’s younger sister, Princess Emily. Fast forward to Amber becoming close with the royal family, falling in love with the prince, and her secret coming out.

4. A Christmas Prince: A Royal Wedding

The sequel to A Christmas Prince just dropped on Netflix. In the sequel we watch Amber struggle with her place in the royal family, her dad coming to Aldovia for the wedding and trying to get the staff and family to relax and watch as Amber marries Prince Richard and becomes Queen.

5. A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby

Just as I suspected, A Christmas Prince is back and this year, there’s a royal baby. It’s definitely cheesy and predictable, but cute. I honestly like the first two movies better but if you’re in the binging kind of mood, I suggest watching all three!

6. Christmas in the Smokies

Christmas in the Smokies follows Shelby back to her family’s historic berry farm during the Christmas season. Quickly reunited with her old beau, Mason Wyatt, the two fall back in love, the berry farm is saved, and all is well in the heart of the Smokey Mountains.

7. Christmas in the Heartland

Another twist on The Parent Trap, Christmas in the Heartland is the story of two teenagers, Kara and Jessie, that are from completely different worlds. After meeting on their flight to a small town to meet the family they’ve never met before, they decide to switch places. Once their paths cross in the small town, the girls (and their families) end up having more in common than they think.

8. Christmas Inheritance

All party girls need a wake-up call at some point or another and that’s exactly what ambitious heiress, Ellen Langford is about to get. After crashing into a Christmas tree at a fundraiser, Ellen’s father (and company owner) sends her to Snow Fall’s to deliver a box of Christmas cards to her father’s former partner. Traveling incognito with just $100 in hand, Zeke is nowhere to be found. Over the course of several days, Ellen learns valuable lessons and even falls in love.

9. The Christmas Chronicles

Not into the cheesy holiday movies? Then The Christmas Chronicles is for you. Plus, you can watch it with kids which makes in that much better. Starting with the Christmas story of siblings Kate and Teddy, the two don’t have the best relationship once their father dies but that’s all about to change. When their mom unexpectedly gets called into work (she’s a nurse), the siblings are forced to spend Christmas Eve together at home and hatch a plan to catch Santa Claus. After successfully climbing on to Santa’s slay, things get a little bumpy and the trio ends up in Michigan, outsmarting the police, and racing the clock to save Christmas.

10. The Holiday Calendar

I love a good holiday tradition and the concept behind this movie is too freakin’ good. An advent calendar that predicts the future? SIGN. ME. UP. Struggling photographer Abby receives her grandmother’s magical advent calendar that leads her to love over the holiday season, but who does she fall in love with? I guess you’ll have to watch to find out!

11. The Knight Before Christmas

Love a good time travel movie? Then you’ll love The Knight Before Christmas! Staring the one and only Vanessa Hudgens, a medieval knight is transported to the present day and falls for a science teacher (*cough* Vanessa H *cough*) who’s disillusioned by love. Cheesy, juicy, and will have you saying awwww.

I watched Christmas Inheritance last year, and I was shocked by how much I liked it! It’s totally on my list to watch again this year. Love Actually is a movie that I watch year round, and it never gets old! Such a classic!
