Holiday Decor I’ve Purchased Recently

holiday decor

Now that Thanksgiving is over, I’m embracing all things Christmas! I’m normally a wait until after Thanksgiving for all the Christmas excitement type of gal, but this year I started putting out just a few things a little bit early. But do you blame me? Christmas decor instantly makes a home feel so much cozier! Since we’re in a larger apartment this year and have more space for holiday decor, I wanted to get some garland, wreaths, and some extra candles to bring the holiday cheer to our home.

My Favorite Places to Shop for Holiday Decor

My favorite place, hands-down, to shop for holiday decor is Target. No surprise there! They have the best selection (IMO) and prices, and if I decide to switch things out next year, I won’t feel as guilty. A few other places I love shopping for holiday decor are Anthropologie, Walmart (where we got our Christmas tree!), Terrain, Amazon, and Wayfair.

My Recent Holiday Decor Purchases

9-ft Faux Fraser Fir Tree

Since our ceilings are so high, we opted for a 9-ft Christmas tree this year and I looked high and low for one that was pre-lit and was somewhat affordable. So excited to have found this one!

Shatter-Proof Ornaments

We have a small 4-ft tree the last few years so all of our ornaments were mini, so I had to grab a bunch of ornaments. I found this set of 50 at Target for $15 (can’t beat it!) and got three boxes. I definitely want to get some other fun ornaments in the future, but this is good enough for now!

Cypress & Juniper Candle

This is the *perfect* holiday candle! It’s the perfect amount of Christmas tree smell without being too overwhelming. The juniper mixed in is the perfect touch!

XL Spruce Garland

I have to admit, when I originally purchased this garland, I didn’t look at the measurements and was shocked at how long it was (12 feet!!). Since it was too long for my mantle, I ended up cutting it into two six feet pieces and have one on our mantle and one on our entryway table.

Velvet Stocking

Chris and I have our stockings from CB2 but now that we have the dog, we wanted to get him a stocking, too, but ours are no longer available so I picked up this one! It’s so cute and doesn’t look like it’s for an animal (which it’s not!).

Hammered Metal Tree Collar

Don’t get me wrong – I love a tree skirt, but I love how clean a tree collar looks. I also think that if we had a skirt, the dog would pull at it and that would not go well.

Stocking Holder

I had a set of these from last year but needed an extra hook for the dog’s stocking and was psyched they were still available! We have the cream and I love them.

Mini Pine Trees

One of my favorite holiday purchases of the year! This set from Amazon is under $15 and comes with four small trees, perfect for our console table. I might even get a second set for our dining room table.
