Follain Body Scrub Review

Follain Body Scrub Review

I am a no-fuss shower kind of gal. I don’t like putzing around and my idea of a long shower is (at most) 10 to 15 minutes. I keep my products at a minimum but from time to time I like to indulge in a little extra TLC, which is when body scrubs and exfoliants come in. They are a great way for me to indulge in a little extra something in the shower in a quick way.

Body scrubs and exfoliants are not only a great way to give yourself a spa-like experience at home, but they’re also great if you have dry, flakey skin (especially come winter!). They leave the body feeling silky smooth and help reduce irritation.

Follain Body Scrub Review

I have become a huge fan of Follain skincare products over the last few years and recently tried the Resurfacing Body Scrub and oh. my. god. It’s one of my favorite products to use throughout the year as a way to treat myself, but it’s especially good during the cold winter months.

The biggest thing about this product is how well it works on bumpy skin. If you’re prone to the little bumps on the back of your arms or on the sides of your thighs, it’s so good for helping minimize their appearance and help keep both areas feeling soft and smooth.

  • Salicylic Acid – If you have acne-prone skin, salicylic acid is your best friend! It not only helps clear buildup in the pores, but it also helps retain moisture in the skin.
  • Glycolic Acid – An organic acid that’s used as an exfoliant.
  • Kaolin – Gives the product a pearly appearance and abrasive texture

For a body scrub, I love how creamy this product is. It suds up slightly with use and the beads in it are small but coarse, the perfect consistency for an exfoliant. In the summer, I love using the scrub to help remove dead skin from spending too much time in the sun, and in the winter, it’s great for keeping my skin moisturized. If you have dry/combination skin, you’ll love this product as a regular addition to your shower routine.

I’m not usually one for scented products but the Follain Resurfacing Body Scrub has the most delicious citrus scent. I absolutely love it. It’s also not too fragrant so if you layer on other scented products or perfumes, it’s not overwhelming.

Priced at $29, it’s affordable and effective!

Incorporating Follain’s Body Scrub into Your Body Care Routine

A body scrub is an easy product to incorporate into your body care routine! After washing my hair and body, I’ll use this body scrub along with this body scrubber for optimal exfoliation. Post-shower, I make sure to apply body serum and body lotion to lock in moisture.

How it Compares to Nécessaire’s Body Exfoliator

The Nécessaire Body Exfoliator was one of the first products I tried from Nécessaire and was the product that made me love the brand. Coming in at the same price point, the Nécessaire Body Exfoliator is made from a trio of glycolic, lactic, and salicylic acids and helped reduce the appearance of small bumps on the back of my arms, keeps my skin soft, and eliminates any dry patches.

If I had to pick one body exfoliator/scrub, I’d hands-down go with Follain’s Resurfacing Body Scrub. It feels much more luxurious to me and even though the scent is more fragrant, I love the citrus scent so much. It reminds me of summer!
