Whether you have an upcoming fall wedding or are starting to get winter wedding invitations in the mail, finding the perfect wedding guest dress can take time. Now that you’ve thrown cold weather in the mix, the dress-buying process is even more difficult. Whether the wedding (or weddings) you’ve been invited to takes you to the mountains, a barn, or a swanky hotel, the question is always the same: what the heck am I going to wear?
One of my favorite wedding guest dresses to wear, especially in the colder months, is this stunning emerald midi. The color is stunning, the slit and the skirt make it twirl-worthy, and I love the delicate details of the bow straps. I also love that it’s fitted on the top and has a flowy skirt, making it so flattering.
When it comes to wedding guest dresses, I love going with a less is more approach. I like to keep things simple and love leaning into the colors of the season. This Reformation checks off both of those boxes and to be honest, it’s one of my favorite dresses I’ve ever owned.

Fall Wedding Guest Dresses
Jamen Knit Dress
This velvet dress is absolutely stunning for any fall or winter weddings (or other events!) that you have on your calendar. The brown color is gorgeous and I love the off-the-shoulder detailing.
A friend told me about this new-to-me brand when I was looking for a dress for our engagement party! RESA recently released this dress and I can’t stop obsessing over it. The silhouette is so flattering!
Floral Mini Dress
Have a warm-weather wedding this fall/winter? This dress allows you to tap into the fall hues while looking chic (and staying cool!). The sleeves on this dress are sure to get lots of compliments!
Twist Front Cocktail Dress
The twist front detailing on this slip midi dress is to die for! It comes in a few colors but I love the olive color for fall/winter.
If you’ve been on social media in the last few weeks, you’ve probably seen this dress, and for good reason. It’s sexy, but not too sexy. I love the length and the higher neck, even though it’s one shoulder. It’s also oh-so-flattering.
Bow-Tie Maxi Dress
This color block maxi dress will forever be a favorite of mine, especially for a fall wedding. It’s feminine, the skirt is perfect for dancing, and the colors are perfection!
Heart of Gold Wrap Dress
You can never go wrong with a classic black maxi dress for the fall and winter wedding season! I love this wrap one and the sleeve detailing is gorgeous.
Floral Jacquard Midi Dress
I am a sucker for a good floral dress and this one is incredible. I am smitten with the ruffle trim detailing, the pattern, and the colors. It’s definitely a yes for me!
