Auden Bra Review

white auden full coverage bra

There have been some kick ass brands that have joined Target over the last few months and I am HERE for it. Great clothing, accessories, and home decor at affordable pricing? I can never say no. So, when they announced their Auden intimates line and that every piece is under $22, I was so excited to give their bras and underwear a try. I decided to try four different bra styles: Full coverage, a bralette, strapless, and an unlined option.

The Bras

Icon Full Coverage T-Shirt Bra

I had originally ordered the Icon in a 32D (my typical size) and holy crap that shit was TIGHTTTTTTT. And not tight in a good way, tight as in I felt like the top half of my body was being squeeze out of a sausage casing. With the $15 price tag, I didn’t mind doing a few returns to get the sizing right. I ended up walking out of Target with a 34D (and without trying it on) and I was pleasantly surprised with the fit and how sturdy it is. The downside? There’s not very much fabric in between the last hook and the end of the strap so it rubs my back throughout the day. The underwire is also very rough and pinches my skin – womp womp. If I’m wearing the bra for a few hours, it’s fine but after a long day at work, there’s poking, prodding, and lots of adjusting.

Would I purchase it again? No.

Unlined Triangle Bralette

I had originally only ordered the Icon, but when I went into the store to exchange it for a different size, I ended up picking up a few other options to try, too. And guys – I have finallyyyyy a bralette that’s cute, easy, and doesn’t turn me into a walk nip slip! WHO’S WITH ME?! I went with a large in this beauty because I was worried the medium would be too tight around my rib cage but alas, the medium had a better fit. The straps are also adjustable which makes it even better.

Would I purchase it again? Yes.

Unlined Bra

Any unlined is the bra for ME. Bonus points? A great underwire. With the perfect amount of support, comfort, and sexy appeal, this unlined bra is one of my go-to’s on the days that I quite frankly don’t want to wear a bra. Out of the bras I picked up from the collection, this is the only one I wear regularly and don’t have any issues with pinching, poking, or prodding. The straps are adjustable, can be criss-crossed for sleeveless tops, and it’s only $15! Not into black? It also comes in white, rose, and a grayish tan.

Would I purchase it again? Yes, yes, yes!

Lightly Lined Strapless Bra

TBH, I couldn’t return this bra fast enough. I went with a 34D like the other bras I picked up from the collection and honestly – I’ve never out a tighter bra on my body in my entire life. YOU WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THIS SHIT WAS AN XXXXS. The experience was wayyyyyy worse than the 32D full coverage bra. For $17, it could be worth it to test different sizes out, but I suggest doing it in store!

Would I purchase it again? NO. It squeezed me into oblivion and I reallllyyyy don’t want to go through the struggle of trying on 297025972 different sizes to find the right fit (if there even is one).

Have you tried any bras part of the Auden line yet?

After seeing this post, I walked through the bra section at Target yesterday just out of curiosity. It doesn’t seem like this line offers a lot of options for the smaller sizes. I found only 2 bras with an A-cup. Womp womp. But it was fun to read your review!

I love these bras as far as comfort and support. The thing I HATE is the wires end up popping out sometimes after only 3 wears! The wires are t coated in anyway so they cut straight through the fabric and into your skin. I’m a glutton for punishment because I keep buying the same ones. Some last longer than others. It’s a love hate relationship.

The two Auden bras that I bought were very disappointing to me. The cups are set too far back close to my underarm part. Which makes my breast push out thru the center of my chest area. It’s horrible because I bought two.
