After the warm weather last week and daylight savings, this girl is ready for spring. Longer days, being able to leave the house without a jacket, flowers in bloom and leaves on trees – does it get any better?! Until we get to experience all of the great things about spring, I’ll still be wearing my favorite sweaters, especially the ones that can easily be transitioned into spring by pairing them with flowy skirts (love this one, this one, and this one!), mini dresses, and shorts (love this pair)!
Even though sweaters are one of my most-worn items in my closet, I just can’t justify spending more than $100 on a sweater. I honestly try to keep it around $50 as much as I can, especially because I find myself throwing them on with leggings lounging around in the house, wearing them to the dog park, and even taking a nap or two in them. The last thing I want to be doing is taking a nap and accidentally waking up the next day in a $150+ sweater.
Thankfully, there are so many stores out there that have reasonable priced sweaters that are still great quality and will be favorites for years to come.
Here are the five sweaters (all under $100!) that I’m eyeing to transition my wardrobe to spring.
I’m not usually a fan of “university” style sweaters but this cardigan is SO good! The navy and maroon stripes make this cream cardigan a classic and the gold button detailing is gorgeous. Such a good option to wear with jeans, shorts, or dresses.
Mock Neck Dolman Sweater
I’m a sucker for any sweater with a mock neck, no matter what time of year it is. They’re just so easy and cozy! Loving the purple color of this one for spring and the dolman sleeves.
Striped Crew Neck
I had a similar striped top from J. Crew YEARS ago and I wore it constantly so when I saw this one, I had to include it! With a roomier fit, it’s the perfect option to wear with jeans in spring or with shorts on summer nights.
I picked up this sweater in the beige a few weeks ago and absolutely love it! I definitely thought it was going to be heavier than it is (it’s very more of a lightweight fine-knit) but that just means it can be worn longer! It comes in a few color options but I’m loving the grey for spring.
A good cardigan is a must for spring (so easy to layer over your favorite silk camis!), especially when you’re working from home. They’re easy to pop on when you’re chilly, go with anything, and are always in style.
